A short distance from Avebury is a lovely walk across Milk Hill. Milk Hill is the highest point in Wiltshire so the views are absolutely epic! On. Very clear day it is said you can see the Black Mountains of Wales! The Alton Barnes White Horse is also there and has recently been re chalked so looking splendid.

Very close to the Wansdyke - a medieval defensive Earth work built after the Romans left to protect from the Anglo Saxons. There is no substantial evidence to date the Wansdyke!
